THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Things that used to be true:
Jobs are stable,
Big banks don't fail,
My retirement accounts are safe,
My home will maintain or increase its value,
My business will continue to grow.
We NEED Hope we can cling to NOW!
JESUS is that Hope!!

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Jesus had hung on the cross from 9am to 3pm.
After a supernatural darkness that lasted three hours, the people at the foot of the cross heard Jesus cry!
The words He cried out were actually Aramaic words, quoting Psalm 22:1.
And even though God had forsaken the physical form of God to die on the cross,
God did not totally abandon Jesus.
For God accepted His sacrifice!
God was still His God!
God is still God!
And He has accepted Christ's sacrifice for OUR benefit!
The ONLY acceptable sacrifice for a loving, eternal God is to sacrificially GIVE Himself as our ransom!
The antidote for the despair and torment Jesus felt, was to cry out "My God! My God!"
Let it also be my cry, O Lord!
For He is my God through covenant promise in the Person of Jesus!
