THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Have you ever noticed that the most affectionate child is the one with the sticky hands?

Our rugs and floor give evidence,
Enough to wear our patience thin,
That one small boy with two small feet,
Can bring so much of the outside in!

Matthew 18:1-4
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

It seems many are more concerned with how great they'll be in heaven than with how to GET there!

When the disciples questioned who should be the greatest in heaven (besides Jesus, of course), He answered them with a tremendous lesson.
ALL who come in genuine surrender to Jesus are GREAT in the kingdom of heaven!
However, NO ONE comes to the kingdom of heaven WITHOUT surrender to Jesus!

Here is the lesson of the "little child."
A little child comes at the beckoning of his/her elders.
A little child is obedient and does the bidding of his/her elders.
A little child is reflective of those who have genuinely surrendered to Christ.

This is what it takes to get IN heaven:
Surrender to Christ as LORD!

And ALL who come are considered "great" in His kingdom.

Love ya,
