THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
He had forgotten their anniversary, and she was quite angry! But she told him he could make up for it if something was in their driveway tomorrow that went from 0 to 200 in 11 seconds.
The next day, when he left for work, she looked out the window. There was a small package wrapped in fancy paper in the driveway. Confused, she went to the driveway, retrieved the package and brought it into the house. When she unwrapped it, she found a new
bathroom scale!
He has been missing since Friday.
Your prayers would be appreciated.

Rom 3:24-26
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

When we first learn of God, we realize that He is JUST. He will not punish the innocent, neither will He allow the guilty to go unpunished. At first, this brings terror to our hearts, and conviction leads us to confession before God and surrender to Christ so that we might find forgiveness.
Then the just nature of God brings joy to our souls. Since God is just, and Christ has died for our sins, through faith we have been judged NOT GUILTY because of our surrender to Christ as Lord. We are "justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus!"
Jesus has rendered full payment to God and propitiated Divine wrath! His righteousness is counted for our unrighteousness. He acquits the surrendered sinner from eternal judgment. Therefore there is no fear of condemnation. Instead, we have peace with God.
Christ is not only JUST, He is also the JUSTIFIER. His holiness continues to be the payment for our unholiness. His perfection continues to be the justification for our imperfection. And these thoughts lead us to a NEW conviction: that we should strive to please our Lord!
No, the doctrine of "Justification By Faith" does not lead to license for sin! It leads to restraint from sin!
When we are genuinely born again, we are given a new set of desires. These new desires cause us to strive for holiness and righteousness in our lives, because we want to please our Lord. And when we sin, those new desires lead us to immediate confession and repentance.
Much like Belshazzar (Daniel 5:27), we are "weighed in the balances" daily and "found wanting" or lacking. But our sin no longer brings fear of eternal condemnation. Instead it brings holy conviction which desires to be reconciled with our Lord. As His "bride" we desire to be in a right relationship with Him.
The scales of God are JUST!
The saved sinner fears not for what he was, is or shall be.
The saved sinner desires a right relationship with Jesus.
Love ya,
