THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A defendant was on trial for murder. There was strong evidence indicating guilt, but there was no corpse. The defense lawyer, knowing that his client would probably be convicted, resorted to a trick in his closing statements: "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have a surprise for you all," the lawyer said as he looked at his watch. "Within one minute, the person presumed dead in this case will walk into this courtroom."
He looked toward the courtroom door. The jurors, somewhat stunned, all looked on eagerly. A minute passed. Nothing happened. Finally the lawyer said, "Actually, I made up the previous statement. But you all looked on with anticipation. I therefore put it to you that there is reasonable doubt in this case as to whether anyone was killed and insist that you return a verdict of not guilty."
The jury, clearly confused, retired to deliberate. A few minutes later, the jury returned and pronounced a verdict of guilty. "But how?" inquired the lawyer. "You must have had some doubt, I saw all of you stare at the door."
The jury foreman replied: "Oh, we looked, but your client didn't."

Matt 6:31-33
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Dear Christian, do you have doubts today concerning God's coverage of your person and provision?
Put Christ FIRST in your life (verse 33), and doubt will fail,
faith will prevail!
A sparrow does not fall to the ground without the knowledge of God.
The very number of the hairs on your head are known by God.
Surely He knows you and knows well your needs!
If you have food and clothing, be "content" knowing that Christ loves you.
(1Timothy 6:8)
Yes, sometimes we have less that what we think we should have.
But let us realize that without Christ we have NOTHING!
And with Him, we have EVERYTHING!
Remember, it is a sin to doubt God's provision of you.
He has PROMISED, and will fulfill His promises to you.
The sin of doubting God gives the devil pleasure.
The sin of doubting God vexes your own spirit.
Put Christ FIRST in all you do.
His promise will follow!
Love ya,
Bruce
