THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

At New York's Kennedy airport today an individual, later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a square, a slide rule, and a calculator.

The Attorney General believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. He is being charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.

When interviewed concerning the incident, a well-known politician said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes."

The "water" of which Jesus spoke above is God's Holy Spirit.
When we surrender to Christ, we receive the presence of God into our lives.
God's Holy Spirit, in our souls, gives us WISDOM, GUIDANCE and COMFORTING COMPANIONSHIP.

The WISDOM of God teaches us to satisfy our physical thirst with water and fluids which will not inebriate our minds and dull our senses.

The GUIDANCE of God leads us to study His Word where we find satisfaction in intelligence and eternal truth.

And, when we are overwhelmed with difficulty in this ole world, God's COMFORTING COMPANIONSHIP gives us solace through His presence.

One other thing: the entrance of God's Holy Spirit into our souls causes us to become a "well of water springing up into everlasting life."

It becomes our JOY to share the wonderful knews of God's love and salvation with others!

THE "weapon of mass destruction" to sin is the entrance of God's Holy Spirit to our souls.
Christians, drink deeply and be a constant well-spring for others.

Love ya,
Bruce
