THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Mom caught little David stealing cookies from the cookie jar.
She put the cookies up and scolded her son.
She told him, "David, even if I don't see you, GOD sees you."
Later that day, Mom caught David under the kitchen table with a cookie.
She asked, "Why are you hiding under the table?"
He said, "I didn't want God to see me!"

In Genesis 16, we find that the "well Lahai-roi" was called "Beer-lahai-roi."
The name means "God Who sees me."
It was the well to which Hagar fled when she ran from Sarai (Sarah).
At that well, Hagar was met by the Lord.
And He told her to return to her mistress, Sarai.
Here, in Genesis 25, we find that Isaac makes his dwelling place there.
What more humbling place is there, than the place where God "sees me?"
Many visit there, but few dwell there!
Some come to visit because of conviction.
Some come to visit because of need.
But some come to remain!
Of course, God "sees" us all of the time.
But sometimes, people are like the little boy in the joke above.
They don't WANT God to "see" them!
Let us make our spiritual home in the place where we know God "sees" us!
There, we will find a well of "living water," (John 7:38) which supplies our every need.
There, we will find the closeness of God.
And His "well" will flow through us to others.
Love ya,
