THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

There's an old myth that says at creation, the dog, the horse, the monkey and the human were each given 40 years to live on earth.

The dog, the horse, and the monkey told the Lord, "We don't need all that time to live." So God gave the man ten years from each of them.

Now you know why a man leads a dog's life for 40 years, works like a horse for 20 years, and after that, just monkey's around!

Ya gotta admit, in this ole world there is plenty of evil!
But, PRAISE GOD, He "deliver"s us from it!

He delivers us by our relationship with Him.
The more praying we do, the less playing we do.
The more studying we do, the less we are gettin' into trouble.
The more attending we do, the less we are intimidated by the world.
The more witnessing we do, the less we are involved in worldly things.

None of those things we do will "preserve" us "unto His heavenly kingdom."
Salvation is of God, by grace, through faith.
We do the works of faith because we love Him.
We love Him because He first loved us, and exhibited His love at Calvary.

But one day, one blessed day, He WILL "preserve" us into His heavenly kingdom!!
Ps 46:4-5 says,
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

I sure am lookin' forward to bein' by that wonderful river!
There ALL the "city of God" will be GLAD!
Christ will be the CENTER!
And we'll NEVER be "moved" from it!!

And when I get there, it'll not be by the works I do.
It'll be by the work He's DONE!

Love ya,
Bruce
