THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
My dad always loved fishing. When Ann & I lived away, sometimes I would drive to West Monroe on a weekend, and we'd go fishing together.
We were fishing late at night once in D'Arbonne Lake, in Farmerville, Louisiana.
I had come completely "rigged out."
I had on a long sleeve shirt, plenty of mosquito dope, 3 rods with reels, a tackle box full of artificial bait, and a wide-brimmed hat. On the back of the hat, my fishing license was pinned.
Dad was catching quite a few fish. I was catching none!
After awhile, Dad said, "Son. Mebe you oughta turn your hat around so the fish can see your license!"

All the universe was created by His Word!
He spoke and it happened!
And our God of power is also a God of compassion!
When He walked upon this earth in the Person of Jesus Christ, "multitudes followed Him."
In His kindness, love, mercy and grace "he healed them all!"
He healed physical illnesses: palsy, leprosy, blindness, lame, withered limbs.
He healed spiritual illnesses: raging, mouth-foaming demon possessed.
But most of all, He healed them of SIN!
Isaiah 53:5 says, "..the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Our peace with God was brought about by the suffering of our Lord, Jesus.
And, by that suffering, He offers the healing of sin to every soul!
Our great God of power is also God of compassion!
With His great love, He heals us of our sin sickness!
Turn your hat around! Come humbly before Him today. Confess sin, and beg His healing!
Love ya,
Bruce
