THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

The man answered the doorbell. His neighbor came in, followed by a large unkempt dog.

While they were talking the dog knocked over a lamp, got up on the sofa with muddy feet, and then began to tear a pillow to shreds.

The man could no longer hold his anger. He said, "Please! Control your dog!"

The neighbor answered, "MY dog? I thought he was YOUR dog!"

1 Cor 15:48-49

THOUGHT_________________________________________________________

Alas! We would all like to think of sin as someone else's "dog."
We are human, born into human bodies.
We are "earthy," and thus, sinful.

Jesus is "heavenly."
He is God come to live in human body for awhile.
He never sinned, and returned to glory in His sinless body.

Those who have surrendered to Jesus as Lord, can say:
Though I now bear "the image" of sin,
through the love of my Lord, Jesus,
one day, I shall bear "the image" of sinlessness!

What a glorious Lord we have!
His love has accepted the sinful who surrender to Him.
His mercy has poured unto us the salvation of God.
His grace has begun the work of molding us into His image, and one day will complete that work!

Jesus will one day "change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself." (Phil 3:21)

Love ya,
