THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election.
On a remote frozen lake in Minnesota, both candidates were sent out to catch their fish. The first day, McCain came back with 10 fish, Obama none. The second day, McCain came back with 20 fish, Obama none.
One of Obama's advisors told him, "I think McCain is cheating. Tomorrow, just go watch him." So Obama did.
That evening McCain came in with 30 fish. The advisor asked Obama, "What was he doing? Was he cheating?"
Obama said, "Yes! I couldn't believe it. He's actually cutting holes in the ice!"

Josh 24:14-15
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Today, many will go to the polls and vote.
Today, many MORE will not go and vote!
Tomorrow, many will see with satisfaction that their candidate won.
Tomorrow, many MORE will be complaining because their candidate didn't win.
But many of those complaining will not have VOTED!
An older missionary retired, and a new one came on the field to take his place.
The first day, he went out to start the jeep. It wouldn't start. So, he called the home office for help. At great expense, the home office sent a mechanic on the next flight.
When he got there, he checked, made a small movement under the hood, and the jeep started right up! The missionary asked, "What was the matter?" The mechanic said, "The battery cable was loose. You'd lost your connection to the power source!"
At the voting poll of Calvary, when the price was His life, Jesus voted for you!
He did that because He was connected to the Power Source of God's LOVE!
Vote for Jesus to be in control of your spiritual life today!
Then go vote for whom you feel is right and qualified to be in control of your physical life!
Without voting, you lose your connection to the power source!
Love ya,
Bruce
