Those who do not believe in total depravity, have never been to a casino!
The day after the above Scripture, headlines might have read:
"GAMBLERS HIT JACKPOT AT CRUCIFIXION"!
The other day I happened to be speaking to a person who said he was a Christian.
He mentioned the fact that Friday evening he went to "the boat" for supper, and talked about how good the food was.
I have difficulty believing someone would go to "the boat" ONLY for supper.
But even if it is so, Christ goes with the Christian everywhere the Christian goes.
Would we want to take Him to "the boat?"
Gamblers lost over $203.5 million dollars at Louisiana's state-licensed casinos during the June, 2013 alone!
That averages over $2BILLION per year!
Now THAT'S SCARY!!
Louisiana is already one of the poorest states in the USA.
How much richer would we be if that money stayed in our state?
At the time when God met God on the cross to pay for men's sins,
men GAMBLED for Christ's clothes!
Is gambling any less an atrocity to God today?
God shows through the crucifixion that our souls are of INFINITE worth to Him!
In our daily lives, how much do we show Christ's worth toward us?
