THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
(My thanks to cousin Wanda for reminding me of this joke.)
An irate lady called the newspaper office.
"Where's my Sunday paper?" she demanded.
The clerk who answered the call said in a calm voice,
"Ma'am, it's Saturday. The Sunday paper will be delivered tomorrow."
The lady caller said, "OH! So THAT'S why no one was at the church this morning!"

Eph 4:31-32
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Often, when we are angry, we say things we shouldn't.
Later, we realize how we've inserted the foot into the mouth!
Ephesians 4:26 says, "Be ye angry, and sin not:"
We are not to "dwell" on our anger, but to "put away" anger from us.
It's like learning a defensive move in boxing, karate, or judo.
One must PRACTICE it in order to make it automatic.
To practice this spiritual maneuver, dwell on love and kindness toward others.
I must remember daily that I'm unworthy of God's forgiveness and kindness.
And, when someone approaches with actions and attitudes that would raise my anger, I must practice the defensive move of kindness and forgiveness!
Anger is a REACTION to actions or attitudes.
Anger is WITHIN us.
And it can only be controlled within us!
Love ya,
Bruce
