THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The young man was left alone for a few minutes with his prospective father-in-law. The father of the bride to be looked at him and asked quietly, "Young man, are you sure you can support a family?"
The young man said, "Well, Sir, I can support myself and your daughter; but the rest of you will have to fend for yourself!"

Jesus left the "camp" of sin, Jerusalem. It was filled with the sins of pride, self-righteousness, and unacceptance. He, the Lord of Glory, was held in contempt, scorned, mocked, beaten and taken out to be crucified.
We, as Christians (believers in Jesus), are to go "without the camp" of the world's sin. We are to be identified with Jesus as His friends. Though the world may hold us up to derision, we are to identify ourselves with Christ, the Lamb of God.
There are many who are willingly identified with Christ as long as it costs them nothing. How willing are we, when others make us subjects of reproach?
Let us remember that we have "no continuing city" in this world! This is not our final home. Praise God, Jesus has set us free from sin and death! He has loosed the chains of sin that kept us captive! He has guaranteed a home in glory where there is no sin!
We "seek one to come;" a city of eternal joy. Christ, being the object of our hope, has given us a goal beyond the sinfulness of this world.
Though we are not without sin, we are to do as Christ and go "without the camp." We are to strive to live in a manner that will show His glory.
Today, may the Hope of Christ focus our attention on being His ambassador. Let us strive to live in distance from the world's sin and as representatives of the Lamb of Glory!
Love ya,
Bruce
