THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Where is the majority of a pastor's time spent? On the "little things," things they are not trained for, and which aren't in any job description (81%)!!

How often do you stop to think about how much time your pastor spends doing things other than preaching/teaching?

Most pastors spend about 4 hours on preparation for one sermon.
Most pastors spend about 8 to 12 hours each week in prayer.
Most pastors spend about 8 to 12 hours each week in visitation.
Most pastors spend about 70 hours each week in work related activity.

Therefore, most pastors spend between 40 and 50 hours doing things like administrative tasks, talking to people in the office, talking on the phone, and preparing or scheduling a work week for himself and subordinates, and in meetings.

So how much of that time could you, as a member, help?

Paul considered sharing the Gospel of Christ with others as the greatest privilege.

It has been noted that if 1/10 of most congregations shared the gospel at least once per week, TEN TIMES MORE conversions would occur in their churches.

People who are idle are usually vain about their abilities.
But the wise worker will know and improve upon his weaknesses.

Is your weakness sharing the Gospel with others?

It is the most wonderful of all privileges to share the Gospel with others.
Seek to do your part today.

Love ya,
Bruce
