THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The CIA Director had a special mission for a special agent. After an intensive program of selection, one man was chosen.
He was ushered into a large room. Hanging from the ceiling overhead was a huge chandalier with hundreds of tiny bulbs. This chandelier provided the ONLY light for the room. One bulb was out.
The CIA Director said, "Now. Your job is to identify the bulb that is out, turn off the chandelier, and replace the bulb."
The man said, "Hmmm....just like every other job I've had with the CIA!"
The Director asked why he said that.
The man said, "Working in the DARK!"

And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

On the South side of the tabernacle was the "golden candlestick." This free-standing candle holder stood on a tripod and held seven "branches." Six branches bent out and away from the central stem, which served as the seventh branch.
The "golden candlestick" was ornamented with "knops" and "flowers." Each branch held three bowls. These bowls contained the oil which fed the lamps. God's WORD is called a "lamp" and His law is called a "light." The prophets are the branches and Jesus is the center stem.
And the Spirit of God is compared to the "seven lamps which bow before the throne" (Revelation 4:5).
Paul tells us the treasure of this "light" is now put into "earthen vessels" (2Corinthians 4:6-7).
That's YOU and ME!! Without the light of the gospel of Jesus the world is lost in sin and darkness. Christians have an awesome responsibility!
The fuel that fed the golden candlestick was to be "pure oil olive beaten."
That fuel represented the Spirit of our Lord, Jesus, Who was crushed at Calvary!
Christian, your light can never go out, for He is an eternal supply!
But your light must be trimmed daily in order that it might burn brightly!
Don't be working in the DARK!
