PSALM
CHAPTER 99
1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
God reigns over all the creation. He is in the place of holiness above the sinfulness of man. All we in earth should be trembling because of the holiness and righteousness of God. For one day we shall face Him and give an account of ourselves.
He also says, "..let the earth be moved." The things of earth and in earth shall one day be shaken. God will shake them all when He rises in judgment.
However, faith cannot be shaken. Once we come to Christ and surrender our lives to Him, our souls cannot be "shaken" because we are born again and given heirship to the throne of God.
Therefore let us STRENGTHEN the things which cannot be "shaken."
Let us who are the called, the regenerated and saved, give PRAISE to God! He is HOLY and deserves ALL our praise.
4 The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
The "king's strength" is the Lord Himself. And God loves righteous judgment.
In fact, it is God Himself Who "establishes" righteousness. He established it in the Old Testament by giving the law to Moses. And God established righteousness in the New Testament by coming Himself and living a PERFECT LIFE!
5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.
7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
God is all power and all holiness and all righteousness. He has established those; they have their foundation in Him alone.
Therefore let us come to God and WORSHIP and give Him PRAISE!
PSALM 100
1 A Psalm of praise.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
In a world full of inequity and iniquity, aren't you GLAD to know that there IS a God Who establishes righteousness? God sets the standard for all man. He Himself is the measuring rod.
And one day God is going to call all His redeemed to live with Him eternally in a place where there is NO inequity and NO iniquity!
We should come before God with praises and singing and worship!
He is the ONLY God (verse 3). We are the results of HIS CREATION! It was not a "big bang." It was not by evolution. And it was not by our own works that humans were established. It was by the loving creative work of Almighty God.
Let us come to His house on earth (church - verse 4), and worship and praise Him!
God is GOOD! His mercy is EVERLASTING! He will forgive us, save us and grant us ETERNAL life!
As long as the earth remains, God's TRUTH will endure! Truth cannot be beaten.
YES! Let us PRAISE HIM! Please continue in Bible Study with us.
"And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain." (Hebrews 12:27)
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." (Romans 10:4)
