words also grow.
Since grammar school I've known that the
Roman Numeral XL meant 40.
But, yesterday, when I was buying a shirt
the meaning GREW to eXtra Large!

The MEANING of the CROSS of Christ
looms larger in my heart each day!
He, Who created all things (John 1:1-3),
came to EXHIBIT His LOVE for you and me
by offering His own blood as a sacrifice for
my sins and yours!
How BIG is God?
He is big enough, mentally, to create ALL
things with just His WORD!
He is big enough to design the human body
and all the workings of it in a miraculous
manner.
Yet, He is BIG enough, spiritually, to step down
from ethereal glory and offer His own body for my
sake and yours!
In a recent study, the George Barna research
group, showed that 61% of Americans believe
their MAIN PURPOSE is to have a sense of
PERSONAL ENJOYMENT in living.
It certainly wasn't personal enjoyment when
Christ hung on that cross!
All the power in all the world could not have
held Him there!
It was LOVE for you and me that held Jesus
on that cross!!
How greater, larger should the CROSS grow
in MEANING for you and me EACH day?
