An elderly Floridian called 911 on her cell phone to report that her car has been broken into.

She was hysterical and she explained her situation to the dispatcher:
"They've stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!" she cried.

The dispatcher said, "Stay calm. An officer is on the way."

A few minutes later, the officer radios in.
"Disregard." He said. "She got in the back-seat by mistake."

1 Kings 20:39-42
39 And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing , then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
40 And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.
41 And he hasted, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he was of the prophets.
42 And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.

Far too many Christians have taken a "back seat" in their churches.
They find "joy" missing.
They find "studiousness" missing.
They find "usefulness" missing.

The king (Ahab), mentioned in the Scripture above, had been told of the Lord to "keep," the Syrian king when he was captured.
But Ahab let Ben-hadad go free.

The prophet disguised himself to show the importance of God's Word.
King Ahab had been lax in keeping God's Word.
And now, Ahab and his people would suffer.

Far too many Christians have become "busy here and there," and are lax about keeping God's Word.
Because of this, the church is suffering.

According to "The Great Commission," Matthew 28:18-20, ALL Christians are to: "teach all nations" the gospel, so that people might surrender to Jesus and be saved.
Also, all Christians are to "teach" new believers "all things whatsoever I have commanded you," so that they may grow in the Lord.
ALL Christians are to help "keep" those whom our Lord has brought in!

Statistics show that today, fewer than 15% of Christians are involved in evangelism.
Also, fewer than 20% are involved in education of new believers.

Don't take a "back seat!"
Get involved in the work of your church.
Help "keep" those whom God has saved.

Love ya!
