After the morning sermon, a lady came to the preacher and said,
"My! You preached a powerful sermon today. You must live a wonderful life!"

The preacher responded, "Well, sister, I must confess:
I can preach more Gospel in fifteen minutes than I can live in fifteen years!"

John 17:23
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;
and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

In His High Priestly prayer, Jesus reveals the power for Gospel living: "I in them, and Thou in me."
The power for growing and being what God wants of you is "Christ in you, the hope of glory:" (Col 1:27)

Oh! Blessed union, "Christ IN you!"
Oh! Blessed hope, "Christ IN you!"
Oh! Blessed power, "Christ IN you!"

That union we have by Christ in us is the wonder of His love!
He cares enough to be with us always.
We are "accepted in the beloved." (Eph. 1:6)
Thus we have constant access to His closeness, strength and love.
The voluminous power of love flows never-ending into our hearts and assures us that we are "closer than a brother."
(Proverbs 18:24)

The "hope" we have by Christ in us is not one that slips away.
It is constantly in our grasp because of His presence.
It is more than hope, it is secured promise!
That hope is a final resurrection where we shall find our place with the eternal God - a place without sickness, terror, pain, or sin!
That hope is secured by "the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1:3)

The power we have by Christ in us is for living inspirationally in a world that contradicts eternal and unconditional love.
The true believer has an ingrained visible "image of the invisible God." (Colossians 1:15)
That image is Christ Jesus.
”For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” (Col. 2:9)
Heb 1:1-3 says,
“1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; ..”

He is Christ IN us, pouring the love of God INTO us, that it might flow THROUGH us to others.

Are YOU a “living Gospel?”

Love ya!
