THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

People who list "mountain climbing," "hang gliding," and "bunjy jumping," as hobbies on their resume get more attention.

Employers know they're goofy enough to try and prove they aren't humdrum!

Isa 40:9
O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain;
O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings,
lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid;
say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

As Christians, we should be willing to climb to a better and more meaningful relationship with Christ every day.
Because, we we do, we are strengthened by His mercy, grace, love and hope.

Far too many Christians are content to live in the dungeons of earth.
The dank and dark air of lethargy, selfishness and pride stunts their relationship with the Savior, and stills their voices.
It takes no effort to dwell in the dungeons!

Come up to the “high mountain!”
It is there the sun shines brighter.
There the morning dew is heavier, and glistens with beauty upon the grass.
There the air is more fresh and stimulates the body.

Don’t be “humdrum!”

Come to the "mountain" with Christ!
Come to the summit!
Reach the peak!
Look around and see the beauty God has created!
Then, you CANNOT be silent!

You have to spend some energy to get higher!
PRAY! STUDY!
Climb HIGHER in your relationship with Christ.

Then, we cannot be silent about our Lord in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, etc.
Because, as you climb in your relationship with Christ, you will speak to the "cities" and say, "BEHOLD your GOD!"

Love ya!
