Sam had never been to a real ranch.
He had seen them on TV in cowboy movies, but had never seen one in real life.

When he was 15, Sam had the opportunity to visit a real ranch in Colorado.
He saw hundreds of cows on the ride out to the ranch home.
And he remembered the "cattle drives" he'd seen on TV with lots of cowboys whooping and hollering.

When he arrived at the ranch house, Sam asked the owner, "How many cowboys does it take to round up all those cows?"

The owner smiled and said, "One."
Sam was surprised and repeated, "One??"

The owner smiled again and said, "Yes. Just one, and a good dog!"

Ps 55:17
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Here we see that a commitment to our Lord, Jesus brings assurance that He will hear.

Isn't it true that a commitment of our lives to Him brings the assurance of eternal salvation?
It is also true that a commitment to pray brings the assurance of His hearing!

No matter what time of the day a believer prays, God is listening.
No matter what the condition of our mind at the time of prayer, God KNOWS what we're saying.
The Bible says,
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Rom 8:26

Whether our prayers are weak or strong, God is attending our needs, even before we come to the "Amen."
In fact, God doesn't care about eloquent speech, He cares about our sighs - our broken hearts.

How many broken hearts, sighing in truth does it take to turn our nation around?
Only a FEW!!

2 Chron 7:14
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Be one of the few today!!

Love ya!
