The customer was checking out of the hotel. He asked the clerk,
"What is this charge of $30 per day for fruit? I didn't eat any fruit."

The clerk said, "Ah, Yes; but the fruit was placed their every day. We can't help it if you didn't take advantage of it."

The man began writing on the bill, and subtracting $30 per day for "use of laptop."

The clerk asked, "What are you doing?"

The man said, "Well, I'm subtracting $30 per day for you using my laptop computer."

The clerk declared, "But, Sir. We didn't use your laptop!"

The man said, "Ah, Yes; but it was THERE!"

Acts 4:31
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together;
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Now (in the Scripture above) THAT was a prayer meeting!

Much like our world today, the disciples were being "threatened" about speaking the Gospel of Jesus publicly.
The purpose of their prayer meeting was to invoke God's supernatural power to speak the Gospel, even though they were threatened!

God showed His approval of their prayer in two ways.

First, He SHOOK the place where they had gathered!
Can you imagine a Wednesday night prayer meeting in your church where God shakes the building?
I can imagine some saints leaving the church singing "All Shook Up!"

Second, God FILLED them with His Holy Spirit!
The presence of God literally filled their beings to overflowing!

God's Holy Spirit is the water which cleanses us from sin and sanctifies us to holy living.

God's Holy Spirit is the oil which anoints and sets Christians apart for being priests of God -
to offer praises to Him, and offer His love and blessings to others.

And God's Holy Spirit is the fire which burns away the dross of our lives and consecrates us to
offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to Him.

Remember, Christian, you are CHARGED with USING Godís Holy Spirit.

If we shall pray for the boldness to speak the Gospel, God will approve.
He will literally shake our being, and effect a tremendous change in us!

THEN, we will have the boldness to share Jesus with others!

Love ya!
