THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the
lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false
prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night
for ever and ever.
Light from the Word.
ALL Christians have been and are sinners. (Rom. 3:23)
And the ole devil likes to remind us of that.
He wants to make us feel unworthy, shamed.
This is one of the ways that wily master of deceptions uses to
"devour" folk. ( 1Pet. 5:8)
But we are to resist him "in faith." (1Pet. 5:9)
When a person genuinely surrenders to Christ as Lord,
he/she is made to become one of the "sons of God." ( John 1:12)
He is washed, sanctified and justified! (1Cor. 6:11)
His name is written in "the book of life." (Rev. 20:12)
And, as my friend Pastor Bryan Eason says,
So when the devil tries to remind you of your past,
remind him of where you shall reside for eternity in glory with Christ!
That glorious heaven where there will "be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:"
(Rev. 21:4) because there will be no more sin!
And remind him that he will spend eternity in "the lake of fire and brimstone,
.... and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Rev. 20:10)
