HI!

As I get older, it seems that my body and my fat have
become true friends!

And they defy separation!

LIGHT from the WORD.

Our Scripture above says, too have friends, one must BE
“friendly.”
The Hebrew for “friendly” is r’a’
(pronounced: raw ah’).
The meaning of this word is “to spoil,” or, “to ruin.”

Therefore, to have friends, one must not think of self,
but of others!
He/she must spoil self with genuine affection
for others.


Those thoughts seem to make the last half of that verse
more meaningful!
"...there IS a Friend that sticks CLOSER than
a brother!"

THAT Friend is JESUS!!

He came to “spoil,” or “ruin” Himself for our sakes!
He yielded Himself to the death of the cross to win our friendship!
And, His promise to those who believe in Him is:
"I will NEVER leave thee, nor forsake thee!" (See Heb. 13:5)

Jesus CONTINUALLY spoils Himself to pour out GRACE
and MERCY upon those who love Him!

Does Jesus reside in YOU as a TRUE Friend?
