THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The pastor was rummaging through the refigerator,
trying to find something to snack on.
He discovered a box he'd never seen.
Inside the box was $48.00 and 5 eggs.
When his wife came home he asked about it.
She said, "Well, you've been a pastor 30 years.
Every time you preach a bad sermon, I put an egg
in the box. When I get a dozen, I sell them for $1."
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap;
which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them:
how much more are ye better than the fowls?
LIGHT from the WORD.
We all struggle with self-worth.
In today's society, most people measure self-worth by success,
or social status, or monetary worth.
We draw emotional satisfaction from believing we have achieved.
But, when we fail - it's a different story!
Too often, we measure our Christian life by achievement.
It's a spiritually dangerous thing!
For, what happens to our emotions when we FAIL?
We become ANGRY with ourselves.
When we do that, we sabotage the blessing God has given us
in Christ Jesus.
Christian, you are LOVED!
God CARES about you!
He loves you EVEN in failure!
And He desires to help you LEARN from each failure!
Jesus said we are WORTH God's CARE!
Take that thought with you through EACH day!
