DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

When I was a kid, I was a member of what we called
in our church -- the Royal Ambassadors.

That was children in training for life by studying the Bible
and activities that taught about life and prepared us
to live for the Lord Jesus.

One Fri. nite the Counselors took us camping.
We were on a creek, right next to a GRAVEYARD!

After supper, the Counselors began to teach us a song.

“Did you ever think when the hearse rolls by,
That you might be the next to die?”
He had MY attention!

The song went on:
“They’ll wrap you up in a nice clean sheet,
And put you down about six feet deep!
All will go well for about a week,
And then the coffin will begin to leak!”

Right about then, I was getting SHAKY!

Then, the next line:
“The worms crawl in, and the worms crawl out...”

RIGHT THEN I rolled up my sleeping bag!
I was going HOME!!

LIGHT from the WORD.

When you are a kid, it’s not only difficult to deal with death;
it’s hard even to TALK about it!
For some people, it’s hard to deal with it ANYWAY –
even if they are adults!

But the reality is that, unless Jesus comes first,
we must face death!

There are two parts to being properly prepared:
FIRST, realize death is inevitable;
SECOND, determine where you are GOING!

Are you PREPARED?
IF death happens today, do you KNOW where you're going?

There's one nasty fact about life.
We're ALL sinners ALL the time, and we desperately NEED
the salvation Jesus gives!

But the GOOD NEWS is that Jesus is willing to FORGIVE
and to GUIDE us into eternal life!

If you have surrendered your life to Jesus, then you
are PREPARED for death.
You KNOW where you are going!

So, let me ask again:
Are YOU prepared?

Love ya!
