DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

Yesterday, I saw a sweat-shirt that had this saying.

Seeing that reminded me of this saying:
"If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God,
then we will be a nation gone under."

(Ronald Reagan)

SCRIPTURE______________________________

Micah 7:2-7 2 The good man is perished out of the earth:
and there is none upright among men:
they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man
his brother with a net.
3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly,
the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward;
and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire:
so they wrap it up.
4 The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is
sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen
and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide:
keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up
against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother
in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the
God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

LIGHT from the WORD.

One other quote I remember, but don't know the author:
"If we do not LEARN from history, we will
REPEAT it!"

There is so much corruption in our world!
Bribery, graft, planning and plotting to overthrow
anything that is righteous and true.

Children rebelling against God and parents.
Adults turning to evil: gambling, forsaking God
with attendance to sports events rather than church.

Even our public officials, serving self and personal
agendas, more than serving those who elected them.

WHAT are we to DO?

Our text above tells us in verse 7.
"LOOK unto the LORD!"
And, "WAIT for the God of my salvation!"

That word "wait" is translated from the Hebrew
yachal (yaw-chal').
Yes, it means wait and trust; but it also means to be
intertwined with God!

Think about the waitress in the restaurant.
She "waits" -- SERVES!!

SERVE the Lord while we trust and wait for Him to
bring "perplexity" upon the evil!

With this in mind, are you truly WAITING on God?

Love ya!
