DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

The car in front was being operated by an elderly lady.
She stopped well before the light finished it's "caution."

The lady behind her was irate!
Yelling, waving her arms and screaming obscenties.

The cop in the third car pulled the second lady over.
He put her in the back of his car while he checked
her information.

Finally, he handed back her drivers license and said,
"Sorry you were detained ma'm....you may go."

Indignantly, the lady asked, "WHY was I detained."

As the officer was turning back toward his car he said,
"Well, Ma'm, I saw the cross sign on your bumper along
with the fish sign. And, considering how you were
acting, I just naturally assumed the car was stolen."

SCRIPTURE______________________________

1 Thess 4:11-12
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business,
and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without,
and that ye may have lack of nothing.

THOUGHT________________________________

LIGHT from the WORD.

Across America, some 70% of people claim to be Christian.
Yet, fewer than 40% of those actually attend church on
Sunday morning.

Even fewer than that show up on Sunday night or Wednesday.

If you would CLAIM to be a Christian, ACT like it!

In our Scripture above, Paul says to "study to be quiet."
The Greek from which that phrase is translated, intimates:
learn to be peaceful.

Also, Paul says, "do your own business."
If you're a Christian, your MAIN business is BEING one!

And, "work with your own hands..."
This is to provide for yourself, and your family.

THEN, "ye may walk HONESTLY toward" those
that are "outside" Christianity!

PRAY!
STUDY the BIBLE!
ATTEND and BE USEFUL!
GIVE!
And BE!

Love ya!
