DAILY DEVOTION

HI!

In his book, "The Making of a Missionary," Douglas Sargent
says there are two kinds of missionaries:
the plodders and the thinkers.

The plodders keep plodding on about the work.
And the thinkers keep thinking up ways to get home!

LIGHT from the WORD.
Most of us just SPEND time.
Paul says we should be REDEEMING the time that we have!
In other words, we should be utilizing it to the maximum for God.

That word "circumspectly" means DILIGENTLY!
Sometimes we Christians fail to plan our time so that we will
be utilizing our talents for the Lord to the fullest.

Time seems to be something we just center around SELF!
But time is LIFE!
Planning and organizing time with God in the CENTER
is right thinking.

We all have those mundane tasks that HAVE to be done
every week: work, clean house, mow the yard, wash the car, etc.
We all also have things we WANT to do, and NEED to do in
order to have a little "time off": playing with the kids,
a date with the wife/husband, fishing, hunting, etc.

There are also some other very IMPORTANT tasks that we
Christians should plan as part of our time.
For instance, Bible study and prayer are ways to maximize
the use of time for LEARNING from God and LISTENING to God.
Also, spending time visiting with lost people is maximizing the
use of time to help someone get off the road to hell and
on the road to heaven.

Are you thinking about how you can MAXIMIZE your time
for God and minimize lost time?
When you plan your week or day, who is at the CENTER
of those plans?

There is enough "evil" in each day!
PLAN to spend some time WITH and FOR God!

Love ya!
