THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
"I am still far from being what I want to be, but with God's help I shall succeed."
--Vincent van Gogh
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Even “babes in Christ” enjoy some wonderful blessings.
They are bought with the blood of Christ.
They are fully adopted into the family of Christ.
They are perfectly and completely justified.
However, we do not want to REMAIN “babes in Christ!”
We should “grow up into HIM in all things....”
Children are easily swayed with the “sleight of men” and “wind(s) of doctrine.”
Therefore, let us GROW!
Grow in education.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Tim 2:15)
Grow in communication.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Phil 4:6)
Grow in ministry.
“But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” (2 Tim 4:5)
Surely, the “babes in Christ” are just as precious to God’s heart as any other child.
Just as surely, God wants them to GROW!
