A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"

The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so all mankind was made."

Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.

The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."

The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"

The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."

1 Cor 15:45-49
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

The "..first man Adam was made a living soul..."
Genesis 2:7 declares how this was done.
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
It was because the "breath of life" from God was breathed into Adam that he became a "living soul," or eternally existing soul.

Man would not have eternal existence were it not for the "breath of God."
Through Adam we receive physical bodies and eternal existence.
But it is not through him that we receive eternal Life!

Now, "the second man is the Lord from heaven."
This "last Adam was made a quickening Spirit."
Jesus IS Life because He is "the Lord from heaven."
And He GIVES eternal Life to all who surrender to Him.

Because we are descendants of Adam, we are "earthy," or dirty!
We are eternally existing beings with a sin nature.

But when we are born again in Christ, we become "heavenly," or celestial.
Because, you see, when we die to self, and surrender to Christ, we die to the earthiness/sinfulness
and are resurrected to live a new life in Christ.
Christ yields Life, and Life is the "likeness" of God (See Psalm 17:15)

Christians, live today in the joy of these two facts.
First, you are "earthy" and bear that "image."
Unless Christ comes again first, we shall all die physically.

But, second, you are "heavenly" and bear that "image!"
No matter which comes first, Christ or death, you shall bear HIS "image" and be in eternal existence WITH God!

Love ya!
