A couple had just gotten married and were on their honeymoon.
The bride was self-conscious and didn't want to appear to be a newly-wed.

On the plane to their destination, she asked her husband how they could appear to be a couple that had been married a long time.

He said, "Well, honey - you can carry the suitcases."

Rom 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

The only weapon with which sin can be defeated is the love of Christ.
That love is a two-way love.

First, it is His love for us.
That love caused Him to offer Himself in our place and for our salvation.
Jesus died in our place upon the cross.
He did so willingly.
And the motivation for that sacrifice was His love for us.

Second, it is our love for Him which causes us to offer ourselves to Him and be used for His glory.
As His love is sacrificial, so our love should be.
We yield ourselves to Him as Lord, and become instruments in His hand.

By receiving His love for us through surrender of our love to Him, we become "in Christ."
It is then "through HIM that LOVED us" that we become "conquerors."

We have no power of our own to defeat sin and become righteous.
His power must flow through us in order for us to be conquerors of sin.

Jesus said, "....without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5).
And He also said, "..with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).

What would you conquer?
Would you desire to have power over temper, greed, pride, foolishness?
Then yield yourself to Christ by His love and for His love.

Just as you received salvation through hearing, believing and yielding yourself to Christ,
you can also receive His power to become "MORE than conquerors."

Let Jesus carry your suitcases of sin and fear!

Love ya!
