"BELIEVING to be RECEIVING"
When we were kids, we believed
we would receive presents on
our birthday and at Christmas
I remember my 7th Christmas
I received a .22 single shot
rifle.
I am still using that rifle now,
75 years later.
________SCRIPTURE________
1Peter 1:8-9
8 Whom having not see, ye love;
in Whom, though now ye see him
not, yet believing, ye rejoice with
joy unspeakable and full of glory.
9 Receiving the end of your faith,
even the salvation of your souls.

________THOUGHT___________
If one HAS RECEIVED (past tense)
the gift of Christ's forgiveness and
salvation's process;
then, one IS RECEIVING the "end
of" their faith!
Salvation in the Bible refers to
an on-going process.
It begins at the point of realizing
one is a sinner against God;
confessing and begging
forgiveness, and receiving the
gift of "faith."
That "faith," like my 75 year old
rifle will WORK IN them, as long
as one WORKS WITH it!
Sometimes, I have to clean that
old rifle - put a little oil in/on it -
to keep it USABLE.
Faith is, in a spiritual manner,
like that.
WE need CLEANING through
prayer and BIble study.
And, the OIL of God's Holy
Spirit is APPLIED by God as
we do those things.
If you HAVE RECEIVED Jesus
as your Lord, then,
KEEP RECEIVING!
The glory of living with Christ
forever is the END GOAL!
Take time to CLEAN your faith
with daily Bible study and
prayer!
Let God's Holy Spirit work IN/ON
you until the end!
