THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Two men in the nursing home were being a little "testy" with one another.
"How old are you?"
"I'm a hundred!"
"Well, you won't see another hundred."
"Hmph! I'm stronger now than when I started the first hundred!"
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries:
but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
The old devil easily corrupts those who do not live by God’s Word.
However, the Christian who dutifully studies God’s Word, cannot be easily duped.
The Word of God is the revelation of God.
The Word of God presents eternal principles of truth.
Knowing the Word of God opens our hearts to real love.
God’s love brought Him to pay for our sins on Calvary – giving of Himself for others.
Knowing the Word of God strengthens the spirit (heart) of man and makes Him “strong.”
For by study of His Word, we find an “unction from the Holy One.” (1John 2:20)
Knowing the Word of God strengthens our hope.
For by His Word, we see through the telescope of time to the “end of all things..” (1Pet. 1:7)
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” (2 Cor 5:1)
Read the Bible.
No matter how long you live, you will be stronger than when you started.
“...If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
