THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I have a doctor friend who warns that vigorous exercise after age 50 can be extremely harmful.
Especially if it's with a knife and fork!
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
As much as we might dislike the topic of death, we must all be prepared for it.
For, except the Lord Jesus comes again before our death, it IS "appointed."
Physical death is a divine decree due to sin: "..dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." (Gen 3:19)
It is "appointed unto men once to die,...."
Our physical lives are for only a brief time.
And, after our death, comes "the judgment!"
Man's existence is eternal, for we are created by the breath of God (Gen 2:7).
Therefore, God's "judgment" is eternal, everlasting!
Let us then be warned!
God's call of death for you or me may come TODAY!
But God never gives us a message of alarming despair without HOPE!
God incarnate, Jesus Christ, was "once offered to bear the sins of many."
Jesus came to "...take(th) away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)
Jesus "...bare our sins in his own body..." (1 Peter 2:24).
And, THROUGH Christ, our "...judgment was taken away:" (Acts 8:33).
Our hope is in Christ.
For when He appears "the second time," true believers shall be acquitted at His eternal "judgment!"
