THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Today, I am not perfect: in fact, I’m far from it.
But, PRAISE JESUS, I am COUNTED as perfect;
for my Father sees me in HIS righteousness!
2 Cor 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Without Jesus being the perfect Passover Lamb, we could not say we are “just men made perfect†(Heb. 12:23).
But, by Jesus’ sacrifice we are “made the righteousness of God in HIM!†(2Cor 5:21 above)
Because of Calvary, I can say, “I am crucified with Christ,†(Gal. 2:20) and my sin with me!
Weep over your sin.
But by all means, take it to Jesus!
For, through His cross, He has taken YOUR sin, and mine, upon His own body!
He buried that sin in the tomb of corruption, and has been raised INCORRUPTIBLE for our sakes!
Take heart, Christian friend, for “THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS†(Jer. 23:6)
has taken you, and dressed you, in HIS own robe of righteousness!
We stand in need of grace.
But, by His grace, we stand with NO NEED!
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.†(Heb 4:16)
Today, along with the Easter Lily, I may bow my head for shame.
But, I will continually look to the SON for my righteousness!
Bow, and look!
