THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A young man went to confession.
He said, “Father, I confess that last night I kissed my girlfriend.”
The priest asked, “How many times did you kiss her?”
The young man said, “Father, I’m here to confess, not to brag!”
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
All too often we brag about the wrong things: accomplishments, successes, attained knowledge, etc.
As Christians, if we’re going to brag – let it be about JESUS!
Jesus LOVED and CARED, and still does today!
He, by the cross of Calvary, crucified sin!
Through His death, Jesus provided atonement to God for all mankind!
Through that cross, Jesus provided acceptance with God through surrender to Him!
Jesus sacrificed His perfection for our imperfection!
Through His resurrection, Jesus justified offering eternal life to mankind!
Through Him, and Him alone, mortal man may receive immortal life in glory!
And, even today, Jesus is interceding before the eternal throne of God for you and me!
Jesus established the church to proclaim the “Gospel” to the world!
Paul said, in our verse above, Jesus “crucified the world to me, and crucified me to the world.”
Remember, it’s not about you, it’s about JESUS!
It’s not what you and I do, but what Jesus is doing!
Nobody cares how much you know, until
they know how much you care!
