DAILY DEVOTIONS

Today's Devotion:
"Calamities, Fantasies, Ravings"

HI!

Before sin entered through our ancestors,
there was beauty, gentleness, kindness
in the natural things of the earth.

There were no atmospheric storms, tornadoes,
hurricanes to rip up trees and homes.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Psalm 2:1-9
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine
a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers
take counsel together, against the LORD, and against
his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their
cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall
have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex
them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me,
Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine
inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy
possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt
dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

_______THOUGHT______________

Why indeed do people insist on believing there is no God?
Why do people try to find fault with the Holy and Righteous
God that created them?

Because people do not want to be bound by rules of
righteousness and truth (verse 3).
They want to "break" those "bonds."
People, by nature are sinners, and want to serve self more
than anything or anyone else.

Those who insist upon serving self rather than God, are
enemies of God and of His "anointed."
The words "His anointed," refer to the Lord Jesus Christ,
our One and only Savior, Who is the Ruler of all nations.
(See Acts 4:25-27)

Fantasies, calamities and ravings are all results of
mankind's SIN!

But one day, the King of all heaven and earth will set
things right!
Jesus, Who first came a "suffering servant," will come
as Lord Almighty.

He will bring a cease to secularization!

Psalm 2: 10-12 gives us a REMEDY for our sin!
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye
judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the
way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Let us bow down and confess our sin before Christ Who
desires to save us from ourselves!

Love ya!
