THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Looking forward is good, but
how do we have FOCUS?
2 Cor 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Yesterday's devotion was about looking beyond today's ugliness to God's future for us.
Today, let's talk about FOCUS.
Paul says in our Scripture above we are to look on
"things which are NOT seen: for the things which ARE seen are temporal;
but the things which are not seen are eternal."
If a farmer is plowing a row, he doesn't look at the front of the tractor, he looks at a point beyond the field.
That way the row he is plowing will be STRAIGHT.
In our Christian life, we must do the same.
If we keep a focus BEYOND, we will live a better life.
We may see the world's ugliness, but let's focus on heaven's perfection.
We may read many books, but let's study THE Book.
We may see death's door soon, but let's focus on immortality.
And, above all, we may see many people, but let our focus be on the ONE perfect Person, Jesus.
Change your focus, and you'll change your life!
