The airman came to his First Sergeant.
He said, “Sir, my immediate supervisor, Sgt. Kelley is off his rocker.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked me to jump in the lake!”
First Sergeant, “Well, I doubt that is true. But if it ever happens, you come see me.”
The airman looked pleased.
The First Sergeant added, “But, WHEN you do come complaining again –
you'd better be WET!”
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
LIGHT from the WORD.
The “knowledge of the Holy” that brings “understanding” is the realization
that the Lord God is ALWAYS right!
That “knowledge” brings with it the “fear" of the Lord,
which is to have genuine, or exceeding reverence for Him.
And, that type of reverence is exhibited in willingness to accept and do His will.
Jesus IS the “power of God” for salvation (John 14:6, Rom. 1:16).
There is “...none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
MUST be saved!” (Acts 4:12)
Jesus IS the “wisdom of God” displayed in man.
For, Jesus became “obedient” to God – even to death! (Philippians 2:5-8)
If one desires REAL “understanding,” one will come to Christ!
And, when one receives wisdom through Christ,
he/she will exhibit that wisdom by following God’s will!
Christianity, my friends, is an exhibition religion!
It is lived by exhibiting experiential knowledge of Him
Who has the power to save – or to condemn.
