An old gentleman was strolling through the park one beautiful day when he came upon child sitting on a bench, busily saying his ABC's.
The old man waited until the child was through, then said, "I see you're practicing your alphabet."

"No," replied the child. "I was praying. You see, I don't know how to pray very well so I just give God the letters and he puts them into the right words!"

1 Cor 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Adam was the first God-formed human.
He was formed by a miracle of God.
He was made of "the dust of the ground," and God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Gen. 2:7)
Through Adam we were all given physical life - we became "living souls."
Through Adam we inherited the weakness which leads to sin.
Through Adam we are subject to the "law of sin and death."
Through physical life obtained by being descendants of Adam, all mankind is subject to death for sin, and eternal separation from God.

He is the "Second Adam" by Whom we are saved.
Through new spiritual life obtained by surrender to Him as Lord, all mankind has the opportunity to be forgiven, saved and given the eternal robes of His righteousness!

Jesus is the second God-formed human.
He was formed by a miracle of God.
He was made from the "seed of a woman," and He Whom was formed in her was "called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)
Through Jesus we are given spiritual life - "born again" to become "new creations" of God.
Through Jesus we are placed under the "law of the Spirit of life" and made "free from the law of sin and death." (Rom 8:2)
Through Jesus we are made "complete in Him," because He is "the head of all principality and power." (Colossians 2:10)

His blood was the "blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Matt 26:28)

We are "crucified with Him" (Rom. 6:6).
We are "justified by faith" in Him (Rom. 5:9).
And He will "raise up us by His own power." (1Corinthians 6:14)

This is the foundation of the "NEW COVENANT."
It is the covenant of God's grace formed in the Person and finished work of our Lord Jesus.

The simple A,B,C's of Christmas are in the fact that:
Jesus' birth brought the salvation of God offered to man!

Love ya!
