THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
Light from the Word.
On Christmas day we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Just WHO is this child Jesus?
He was: prophesied in the Old Testament.
He was born, crucified, buried, risen, and is soon returning as LORD!
He is God in flesh, the Creator of all there is.
He is the visible image of the invisible God!
For God said to Isaiah, “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is
no saviour.” (Is. 43:11 above)
When we see scenes like the one above, let us remember:
He is “CHRIST the LORD!”
He is “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end,
the first and the last.” (Rev. 22:13)
He was and is worshipped by kings and shepherds, the
highest and lowest of our social order – BECAUSE --
He came to exhibit God’s love for mankind;
to bring “peace and good will” to man from God;
to pay the only acceptable price for man’s sin.
And, He IS coming again!!
This Christmas, as we open each present, let us remember
