THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
They also gathered up several things they no longer used, and
determined to throw them away.
But they found new places for them, and never carried them away.
John said, "So now, we have a clean house cluttered with old things
that remind us of old times."
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Perhaps you would like to "clean house" in your life and rid yourself of some reoccurring sins.
Sins like: mistrust, pride, envy, anger, laziness, fear.
But you never become a "conqueror" because you never really carry away the sin.
The "old man" keeps cluttering up your spiritual house.
Carry it to Jesus, and commit it to Him.
You can only become a "conqueror" of those sins by committing them to Christ!
Because, we only become "conquerors THROUGH Him that loved us!"
First, commit your sin to Christ by openly admitting and confessing it to Him in prayer.
Then, crucify your sin by leaving it with Christ, and determining to live "by the faith of the Son of God."
Then, conquer your sin by allowing Christ to carry it away!
Serve Christ, not sin!
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,
that henceforth we should not serve sin.
