When ya get older, food is the enemy.

It "sticketh closer than a brother."

Rev 4:4
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting,
clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

When reading Revelation, I become enthralled with the images portrayed.
This one, of the 24 elders, shows their proximity to God.
This image also is representative of ALL saints, saved by the blood and Person of our Lord Jesus.

They are NEAR Christ.
Not only in proximity, but in unity and in harmony.
They are near to His Person, and near to His heart.

They have clear VISION of Him.
They are in constant contact with His glory and righteousness.

They have instant ACCESS to His authoritative power.
All they need do is speak, and His answer is quick.

They have FELLOWSHIP with Him.
He is constantly before them in relationship and sweet communion.

And, when I think of that, I think of this:
"...., and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matt. 28:20)

Christians who are on earth, have the same close proximity to God!

Let us realize our nearness to Him.
Let us concentrate on our vision of Him.
Let us pray as though He were right beside us attentively listening.
And above all, let us realize that He is the "Friend that sticketh closer than a brother." (Prov. 18:24)

The 24 elders are around Jesus and His throne.
So are YOU!

Love ya!
