In our over-communicating world, it is sad that most folk
do not listen to understand - but to reply!
And, too often words are hurled like arrows without thinking.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and
evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
LIGHT from the WORD.
True communication is imparting understanding from one to another.
Friends, my wife can do that with just a LOOK!
We are a technilogically advanced people.
Too often we speak quickly without imparting understanding.
Too often we speak to reply quickly just to move on; and,
we fail to include respect and genuine care.
Speak to "edify" others!!
To do less is to "grieve" God's Holy Spirit!
In order for this to happen, we must "put away"
our own bitterness, anger, and malice!
Prov 15:28 says, "The heart of the righteous studieth to answer:
but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things."
Be careful how you speak and act.
Communicate to impart understanding.
And, do so with a kind heart.
