THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Everybody knew the roof was leaking, but the church kept putting off replacement.
Finally some areas of the ceiling in the sanctuary began to sag.
They called a congregational meeting.
Just then a piece of the ceiling fell and landed on the head of a rather rich member.
He and pledged $300 toward fixing the roof.
Somebody in the back of the church said, "Hit him again, Lord!"
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
When we first have contact with Jesus, we face conflict.
We are convicted of sin. (Rom. 3:23)
We are convinced of a Savior. (Acts 4:12)
We are called to make a life-time commitment to Him. (Luke 9:23)
After we make a commitment to Christ, we face change.
We are born again, (John 3:3)
We are rejuvenated. (2Cor. 5:17)
And, we are being conformed to the image of Christ Himself. (Rom. 8:29, Rom. 12:2)
WHILE we are being changed, we are faced with communicating.
We are called to tell others. (Matt. 28:18-20)
We are called to teach others. (2Tim. 2:2)
Most folk don't desire to face conflict,
So, they never allow the change.
Then some folk don't like change,
So, they never communicate.
Go through the conflict.
Allow the change.
And, communicate the Gospel!
THEN, you will find “...rest unto your soul(s).” (Matt. 11:28-30)
