HI!

Some members of congress promise “responsible spending.”

They say we should cut spending by $800 billion, and raise
the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion.

I’m thinking they should receive an “F” on the math portion
of their report card!

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises:
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

LIGHT from the WORD.

When considering "promises" made, first consider the
one who promised!

Jesus Christ is the ONLY One Who ever fulfilled His
promises!
He promised to die and be raised again in 3 days!
HE DID that!
That means He had an "A" report card!

Through Jesus' death and resurrection, you and I
are promised eternal salvation!
This is the promise of our eternal Savior in the Bible.
That's why Peter refers to them (above) as
"exceeding great and precious!"

When one surrenders to Jesus as Lord, they receive
MANY wonderful promises of God written in His Word.
SOME of those promises begin with SALVATION:
*forgiveness of sin,
*acceptance into the family of God,
*daily strength & comfort from His Holy Spirit,
*a resurrection to eternal life WITHOUT and sin!

CONSIDER our PROMISOR!
Then, realize the Bible is FULL of "exceeding
great and precious promises!"

LEARN and MEDITATE on those promises.
They will give you comfort and solace each day!
