1 Tim 3:14-16
14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come
unto thee shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how
thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God,
which is the church of the living God, the pillar and
ground of the truth.

_______THOUGHT______________
The church is the second of only two God-formed
institutions on earth.
The first institution formed by God was marriage,
and thus, the family.
The family AND the church are to carry the TRUTH
of God.
The TRUTH of GOD is the GOSPEL of JESUS!
*God was REVEALED in flesh through Jesus.
*Jesus was JUSTIFIED in the Spirit by His
RESURRECTION.
*Jesus was SEEN of angels.
*Jesus was and is PREACHED unto the nations.
*Jesus was received into glory by His ASCENSION!
And, Jesus is surely COMING AGAIN!
John 14:3 says, "And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will COME AGAIN, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
And, ANYONE can be saved through surrender to
Jesus!
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He
gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER
believeth in Him should not perish, but HAVE
everlasting life!"
Jesus Christ ESTABLISHED the CHURCH!
He established it with RESPONSIBILITY!
That responsibility is to be the "pillar and ground of
TRUTH" in the world!
The church, then, is to ESTABLISH that truth by
preaching/teaching it; and,
to CONTINUE preaching/teaching God's TRUTH!
Now. Let me reiterate:
Christian, C H U R C H cannot be spelled without U!!
Cooperatively, we meet in church to LEARN God's
TRUTH!
Individually, we leave church to LIVE that truth in
our daily lives!
