Ole Joe won the lottery.
A reporter asked him how he did it.

Joe said, “Well, I was smart, and lucky too.
I had heard 7 was a lucky number.
So I figured two 7’s were better than one.
But, then – why not multiple 7’s?
So I multiplied 7 X 7 and picked the number 48.”

Reporter, “But 7 x 7 is 49!”

Joe, “I know – that’s the lucky part!”

Col 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.

LIGHT from the WORD.

The world says, “It’s ok to be spiritually minded, but don’t forget
to believe in luck, moderation and political correctness.”
However, God says those things are rudiments of the world.”
And, Christ is the “foundation” of the world!

Many “philosophers” promote yielding to the fashionable.
However, the Bible says, “.. be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.”
(Rom. 12:2)

Grandma taught her grandson a lesson about this one day.
He left a jar of figs open, and out on the counter.
Grandma patiently waited.
Two days later, she showed him the opened jar.
It was green with mold – spoiled!

She said, “Take a lesson from the figs opened to the world.
The world spoils what was carefully sealed!

The world speaks of luck and moderation.
But one of the things the world doesn’t understand is that:
God IS, and judgment WILL come one day!

Don’t be spoiled!

Love ya!
