Today's Devotion:
"DANGER LURKS"
The pastor and his wife were leaving the
mall.
As they turned toward the area of their
car, the pastor noticed three young men
with chains were following them.
He sent his wife on to the car, then he
turned to face the young men.
He boldly asked, "Gentlemen, did you
know that Jesus is WATCHING you?"
The three immediately stopped.
The pastor got in the car and left.

Matt. 2:11-13
11 And when they were come into the house,
they saw the young child with Mary his mother,
and fell down, and worshipped him: and when
they had opened their treasures, they presented
unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they
should not return to Herod, they departed into
their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the
angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream,
saying, Arise, and take the young child and his
mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there
until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the
young child to destroy him.

_______THOUGHT______________
Jesus came to bring "peace on earth;" but,
DANGER lurked even soon after His birth!
Jesus was not even yet able to walk or speak,
but the government was trying to destroy Him!
The wise men were warned:
LEAVE a DIFFERENT way!
Do not allow the government use you by
destroying the goodness and influence of JESUS!
God is always watching over His children like a
parent watching the child on the beach:
He is READY to DIVE IN!
THAT is why God warned the wise men in a dream!
If one has surrendered to Jesus, that person is
made as a "lively stone!" (1Pet. 25)
It is then we must learn to live DIFFERENT from
the world.
Go a DIFFERENT way!
LEARN of Jesus in the BIBLE!
COMFORT others with the words from the BIBLE!
STRENGTHEN other Christians with the words
from the BIBLE!
TELL others of the love, mercy and grace of
JESUS!
Do NOT allow the "storm" of government to
weaken your witness!
